Bushra Imtiaz
I am part of the Human Resources team at Sphere Care Solutions and I bring nearly a decade of experience within residential childcare, beginning my career as a Residential Support Worker and progressing to Ofsted Registered Manager. Having worked directly within children’s homes, I understand the practical realities, regulatory expectations, and day-to-day pressures faced by managers and frontline teams.
My transition into HR was a natural progression. Throughout my career, I have always valued structure, clarity and consistent standards – not just for compliance but because strong systems create stability for staff and ultimately lead to better outcomes for our children and young people.
I believe effective HR is about balance – upholding high standards whilst recognising the people delivering the frontline care. I work collaboratively with managers to ensure processes are clear, practical and aligned with regulatory requirements, while also fostering a culture where staff well-being and professional development are prioritised.
Whether its resolving challenges, celebrating wins or helping teams strengthen their practice, my focus remains the same: creating an environment where every role is valued and every contribution supports the wider mission of safeguarding and supporting our children and young people.  I am committed to continuing my development within Human resources and contributing to a culture built on integrity, consistency, and mutual respect.

Our human resources role extends beyond internal workforce management to compliance and policy development, ensuring that the company adheres to UK regulatory frameworks, including Ofsted requirements and safeguarding protocols. The department continuously updates internal policies to reflect changes in employment law and sector-specific guidelines. Furthermore, HR plays a strategic role in workforce planning, analysing staffing needs to maintain optimal service delivery levels. By engaging with external partners, professional bodies, and training providers, the HR team ensures that the organization remains at the forefront of best practices in child welfare services. Ultimately, HR’s professional engagement initiatives create a well-supported, motivated workforce dedicated to delivering high-quality care and support to children and families in need.
