Description
My name is Michelle, and I am a Registered Manager with Sphere Care Solutions. I have a First-Class Honours degree in Criminological and Forensic Psychology, with notable achievements such as being presented with the Governor’s Award for Academic Excellence on two consecutive years and winner of the British Psychological Society undergraduate award for Psychology. I have delivered a ten-week intervention within local primary schools focussing on crime reduction and subsequently presented my published academic research relating to this project at Oxford University. I have a background in Restorative Approaches, coordinating a team of around 20 facilitators and running a local Community Resolution Panel delivering restorative interventions in schools and the wider community, and also supporting children with ASC through the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA).
I have over six years’ experience in residential childcare in a ‘Good’ children’s home, with around two of these being in a managerial position and have completed my Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management. I am passionate about my own and the team’s continued professional development and improving positive outcomes for children and young people who have adverse childhood experiences through a child-centred, nurturing, restorative, and therapeutic approach with positive relationships and mutual respect being at the forefront. I believe that all children should be afforded the same opportunities regardless of their background, and I am dedicated to supporting the children and young people in our care to develop and thrive so they can achieve the best possible outcomes, thrive and reach their full potential, and live an enjoyable and happy life.
